This thesis examines how global supply chain disruptions from 2019 to 2024 affected the export performance of Hungarian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Using firm-level financial data from e-Beszámoló and insights from recent supply chain literature, the study analyses fifteen Hungarian SMEs operating in export-intensive sectors. Key indicators including domestic and export sales, cost of goods sold, inventories, and receivables—were assessed to understand how shocks such as the COVID-19 pandemic, transport delays, and energy price volatility influenced business performance. The results indicate that SMEs experienced rising costs, liquidity pressure, and unstable delivery times, but export-oriented firms generally showed stronger recovery due to diversified markets. The findings highlight the importance of supplier diversification, stronger cash-flow management, and more efficient inventory planning for improving SME export resilience
