This thesisexamines the concept and early-stage development ofLevikeg, an innovative beer-tap system designed to introducea modern, flexible, and user-friendly approach to beer dispensing. The project focuses on understanding how such a solution can meet the everyday needs of consumers, hospitality venues, and accommodation providers, as well as the expectations these groups have for an automated draft-beer experience. To gain a realistic and grounded picture, the research relies on in-depth interviews with users from all three segments, offering direct insight into how they imagine using Levikeg, what problems it could solve, and which features matter most to them. The thesis also outlines the core motivations behind the product idea, the practical considerations of its development, and the role that user feedback plays in shaping an innovation before it enters the market. Overall, the study offers a clear, real-world perspective on how a smart beer-tap system, such as Levikeg, can be tailored to meet the needs of its potential users and what factors should guide its future development.
