Absztrakt (kivonat)
The research is revolving around sustainability, focusing on greenwashing and sustainability at multinational companies. In today’s world there is agrowing emphasis on sustainability when conducting businesses, since there areinitiatives and legal actsaimed at the preservation and anti-exploitation of our environment. It has been proven scientifically and agreed internationally that production, consumption must adapt to remain viable for our planet. This adaptation is what becoming sustainable should be about. However, the concept of Greenwashing appeared on the market, assustainability became a trend.Greenwashingis when a corporation is appearing to be more green, sustainable than they already are. This pretence isarchived through extensive marketing, falsifying real data or exaggerating. After the introduction, in the second chapter the Secondary Research can be read. I collected the most important definitions, starting points to the topic of Greenwashing, Corporate Sustainability and CSRD (Corporate Sustainable Reporting Directive). In the third chapter the Primary Research takes place. First, the analysis of the questionnaire results which was conducted amongst corporate workers in the hopes of getting to know their views and opinion on mostly CSRD but also on Greenwashing and Sustainability in general. Next, two expert interviews and their analysis - both interviewees work in the ESG-sphere at a multinational company.Lastly as primary research, I did a short analysis on the company Nespresso and their capsuled coffee. The aim of this case study was to evaluate and research environmentally controversial company from the point of view of Greenwashing. Finally, conclusions are drawn and suggestions are given to multinational companies in general how to avoid Greenwashing, illustrated through the example of Nespresso. Additionally, suggestions are given on the CSRD how to tailor it better for the elimination of Greenwashing.
