Absztrakt (kivonat)
This thesis explores the multifaceted challenges and workforce implications resulting from the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Tax Compliance Services. The research is motivated by the rapid evolution of generative AI and its potential to automate routine tasks, creating both opportunities for increased efficiency and productivity, and threats of job displacement. The study addresses several key questions, focusing on: the impact of AI on manual job roles; the new job opportunities and requisite roles emerging from AI integration; the strategies organizations employ to manage the dual effect of job displacement and creation; the specific new skillsets required of tax professionals; and the influence of change management and talent development on successful AI adoption.A qualitative research approach was utilized, involving structured interviews with professionals from three critical departments: Technology, Learning and Development, and Human Resources. This methodology provided a corporate perspective on the possible advantages, disadvantages, and ethical implications of AI implementation, especially concerning the handling of sensitive information. The key findings reveal four crucial areas:Workforce Transformation: AI's capability in automating routine tasks in tax compliance presents significant efficiency gains but poses a substantial challenge, particularly to entry-level positions. This shift necessitates the emergence of hybrid roles that combine technical proficiency with advanced interpersonal and soft skills.Organizational Adaptation: The success of AI implementation highly depends on robust change management strategies. Proactive measures like reskilling/upskilling, continuous support, and transparent communication are vital for fostering trust, mitigating employee fears of job loss, and ensuring a smooth transition.Technological and Ethical Challenges: The reliability of AI output is fundamentally reliant on the quality and integrity of the input data. Furthermore, organizations must address high skepticism, ethical considerations, and the need for rigorous frameworks to ensure the software operates without bias and provides accurate information.Leadership Role: Strategic leadership is paramount in guiding the company through this transformation, supporting the workforce with constant learning, and ensuring the creation of a resilient and adaptable organizational culture. In conclusion, while AI offers promising efficiencies in tax compliance, its successful integration requires a complex and balanced strategy that accounts for technological, ethical, and profound human factors. Organizations that navigate these challenges effectively, prioritizing talent development and transparent change management, will secure a competitive advantage in the increasingly digitalized economy.
