This thesis examines the financial resilience and post-COVID-19 recovery of Manchester United F.C. and Liverpool F.C. through an analysis of profitability, liquidity, financial efficiency, infrastructure, academy performance, scouting effectiveness and sporting results. Using annual reports from 2019–2024 alongside publicly available football data, the study evaluates how each club responded to the financial shock caused by the pandemic and whether they restored or improved pre-crisis performance levels. The findings show that both clubs achieved diversified revenue streams but faced persistent pressure from rising wage costs. Liverpool demonstrated stronger liquidity management during the crisis, while Manchester United benefited from a more valuable and influential academy pipeline. Infrastructure investments, particularly stadium expansions and training facilities, proved essential for long-term financial stability. The study highlights the importance of strategic partnerships, regulatory compliance and sustainable squad-building in strengthening football club's financial position.
