This thesis explores the determinants of financial literacy focusing on working adults in Vietnam using the quantitative approach via an online survey. Google Forms was selected as the data collection tool to allow for broad geographic reach and to ensure adequate representation from each of the major regions, income levels, and employment types. Survey invitations were distributed via a combination of Social Networks, Workplace Communities, and Occupational Groups, allowing respondents to freely and anonymously complete the survey. Participants received a clear set of instructions and were provided enough background information to understand what was expected of them during the data collection process, in compliance with ethical research practices.Once the data collection was completed, all of the responses were screened to remove invalid responses and to subsequently clean and prepare the data for statistical analysis. The cleaned responses were coded, and any extreme outliers were removed. A series of Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) analyses were conducted using SPSS, to determine the relationship between five independent variables and Financial Literacy. The MLR assumptions (i.e., normality, multicollinearity, etc.) were tested, leading to the generation of a regression model that produced statistically significant findings regarding the primary factors impacting the financial literacy by using the sample of working adults in Vietnam.
