Absztrakt (kivonat)

This thesis investigates the attitudes of Indonesian air passengers toward green aviation initiatives, using the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) as the primary analytical framework. Through a mixed-methods approach combining quantitative survey data from 202 respondents and qualitative insights, the study explores how attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioural control shape passengers’ intentions and actual behaviours regarding sustainable aviation practices. Results indicate that Indonesian passengers generally support green initiatives that do not compromise comfort or significantly increase costs, with newer, fuel-efficient aircraft and electronic boarding passes receiving the highest approval. Price sensitivity emerged as the primary barrier to adoption, followed by limited awareness and flight options. While positive attitudes and social norms strongly influence intentions to support green aviation, a consistent reluctance to reduce travel frequency underscores a persistent attitude-behaviour gap. The findings highlight the importance of transparent communication, targeted incentives, and technological improvements in driving sustainable aviation in Indonesia. The study contributes to both theoretical understanding and practical strategies for promoting green behaviour in the rapidly growing Southeast Asian aviation sector.
