Absztrakt (kivonat)

As we read humans are the base of hospitality. While AI is also essential to thedevelopment and smooth running of hotels, it can be said that hotels would most likely not existwithout a human touch. This is expressed between the employee layers, the guest layer; themanagers acknowledge this as well. There are multiple uses of AI both in the hotel industry and in personal life. However,AI is not fully automatized yet, which leads to a constant need to check over the work it does, while it does help employees with their work on the day-to-day basis. There are also manythreats to AI and development, since it is a system that can be brought down. Managersexpressed that the human atmosphere in a workplace is important to them, as well as the facttheir employees have a job that is as of right now not replaced by AI, and this is a process theytry to adapt to with the rapid growth of AI.As far as ChatGPT goes, many people use it to take the world by storm, however, it hasroom to improve, and since it needs to give resources, it can be misleading. While havingdisadvantages ChatGPT is a very useful tool in everyday life, it can help with a multitude ofthings, from giving ideas and summarising text to checking grammar, or even being a friend tosome. Even though it is a fairly new implementation, may like it, since it is easy to use, and hasa clean look to it. ChatGPT in the hotels is a great idea in customer communication as long asthe texts given are checked over and given a more personal feel. Uploading personal data orconfidential information to ChatGPT would be, however, a horrible idea since it does not havethe required safety features for that. This is why it should be used only in processes and withinformation that is open to the public, whether that be giving information on a certain hotel ortranslating. In hotels, ChatGPT should also be used as a personal aid to those who need it.If there was a system similar to ChatGPT without the risk of information leakage, whereevery data in the hotel could be gathered and everything could be searched with a simplequestion like it is in the case of ChatGPT it is believed that employees and managers would likeit. A system that is safe is a key element to hotels since they do not only work with theinformation that they have on their hotel, how things work, the different costs, and thecalculations, but also with their guest’s data too. Since they have other people's confidentialinformation in their hands a safe and foolproof system is essential. As there are many other AI software further research is suggested on the topic. AI isspreading like wildfire in both everyday life and in tourism and hospitality, this also suggest ademand for the mentioned further research. With AI being as present as it is, many scope ofduties will drastically change. This does not mean that people will lose their job, but rather thattheir jobs will evolve, in more than one way. The more monotone tasks will be done by AI, andthe more dynamic or interesting tasks will be done by humans. Due to AI It is possible that evennew jobs will emerge. People should not be afraid of losing their jobs in hotels, since humanpresence in hospitality is what makes hospitality what it is today, and that human touch can notbe replaced by AI. So far AI is mainly used in the back office of hotels but its starting to bleedinto the front office and other areas where guests are more present as well.
