Absztrakt (kivonat)

This research aims to analyse the effect of sporting events on revenue management tools based on the Example of Danubius Hotel Arena and Danubius Hotel Hungaria. This study gives a better understanding of revenue management, how it works in the hotel industry. The sporting events give a special focus to the thesis, and with that focus, we can understand the changes that these kinds of events can create. During the research, I used deep interviews as a primary source, and I got data from the hotels, which I analysed as a secondary source. The study showed that the sporting events have effects on the hotel industry, increasing KPI like the number of guest nights or revenue. During sporting events, the hotel segmentation also changes. From a revenue management point of view, they have to make different kinds of changes to maximise their opportunities. In the paper, I represent the effects of these events with various diagrams and information.
