Absztrakt (kivonat)

My thesis is about the appearance of Airbnb and its impact on tourism. The aim of the thesis is to give an overview of the positive and negative consequences that the new accommodation form Airbnb has had on traditional hotels. I conducted my research using an online questionnaire. 100 people participated in filling it out, which allowed me to draw real results and conclusions on the topic. The target group of my research was mostly 18–25-year-olds, but older age groups also completed the survey. My survey showed that although Airbnb has had a significant impact on the hotel industry, it has not completely taken over the market. Hotels are still a major player in the tourism industry alongside Airbnb.
