Absztrakt (kivonat)

This thesis investigates the corporate aspects of e-procurement, focusing on the supplier’s perspective regarding customer portals used for issuing purchase orders and processing electronic invoices. By integrating theoretical insights with practical analysis conducted at Veolia Water Hungary, the study examines how digital procurement platforms influence key logistics functions — inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and financial flow. The findings highlight that although customer portals aim to streamline operations, they often introduce inefficiencies due to technical malfunctions, poor integration, and procedural mismatches. Primary data analysis reveals a disproportionate number of logistical disruptions — such as delayed deliveries and increased express shipments — among customers using these portals. The research concludes with strategic recommendations for suppliers and customers to enhance portal effectiveness through better preparedness, collaboration, and balanced digital adoption. Ultimately, the thesis emphasizes the importance of treating procurement platforms as strategic supply chain tools rather than passive compliance mechanisms.
