Absztrakt (kivonat)

This dissertation investigates the transformative journey of Fintech in Vietnam amid the unprecedented disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. As the global economy navigated the challenges of the pandemic, Fintech emerged as an important force shaping the financial landscape. This study focuses on the Vietnamese context, aiming to elucidate the impacts of Covid-19 on Fintech development and its consequences for businesses.The research begins with a comprehensive exploration of the evolution of Fintech in Vietnam, both pre and post the Covid-19 outbreak. The analysis encompasses a thorough review of existing literature on global Fintech trends, the influence of external shocks on technology adoption, and the role of regulatory frameworks in shaping Fintech ecosystems. There are also some lessons learned from developed country such as Japan, China, Singapore and the United Kingdom in terms of Fintech and technology in general in order to enhance the environment of Fintech in Vietnam.The findings of this research contribute to the understanding of how the pandemic has accelerated or altered the trajectory of Fintech in Vietnam. The study delineates the impacts of Fintech adoption on businesses across diverse industries, providing a nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented by this intersection. By identifying the challenges faced by businesses in integrating Fintech solutions during the pandemic, the research aims to inform strategies for overcoming these obstacles.Ultimately, this dissertation aims to provide practical recommendations for businesses and policymakers to navigate the dynamic Fintech landscape in Vietnam. As the nation grapples with the challenges and opportunities presented by Fintech development during and after the Covid-19 pandemic, this research offers insights that are pertinent for fostering resilience, innovation, and sustainable growth in Vietnamese businesses.
