This comprises a comprehensive overview of the Mexican economy, encompassing analysis of Gross Domestic Product, unemployment, trade balance, and foreign direct investment. Additionally, it includes an evaluation of the impact of nearshoring on employment and the broader economic landscape, an assessment of Mexico's competitive position in the international arena, and an in-depth exploration of governmental strategies and public policies pertaining to nearshoring activities.Chapter V carefully examines the advantages and disadvantages of nearshoring within the Mexican context. By closely studying the topic, it identifies the benefits gained from nearshoring in Mexico, contrasting them with the challenges and drawbacks it presents. Additionally, this chapter presents case studies and practical examples to illustrate the real-world applications of nearshoring in Mexico, with a specific focus on its implementation in Mexico City.In conclusion, this thesis is a significant contribution to the understanding of nearshoring as a strategic economic practice, particularly within Mexico. By unraveling its intricacies, understanding its impact on society and the economy, and evaluating its advantages and disadvantages, this research provides valuable insights for policymakers, businesses, and scholars involved in international trade and economic development.
