The Suez Canal, a critical maritime passageway, experienced a significant event that interrupted international trade for six days, making it a pivotal subject for discussion and analysis regarding its effects. This paper will consider the Suez Canal blockage instigated by the Ever-Given collision. It will introduce the Suez Canal, including highlighting its historical significance, its vital role in connectivity to the world economy, and associated contemporary issues and future challenges. The incident will be carefully reconstructed, providing detailed information about the Ever-Given container ship, the canal, and the historical context. The analysis will then investigate the collision's causation and its effect on the supply chain, which impacted business operations. It will clarify the Suez Canal's importance, the alterations in shipping routes, disruptions in the global supply chain, and market price fluctuations of goods and resources. In addition to the analysis, it will offer recommendations to prevent incidents to mitigate or minimize the potential impacts of similar incidents in the future.
