Absztrakt (kivonat)

The main objective of my thesis was to better understand the situation of failed states in the 21th century, and showcase their effects on other countries of the world. In my dissertation I focused on Afghanistan and made a complete historical and economic analysis of the country, but at the same time I tried to define what a failed state is in general by examining many different approaches in this topic. I conducted a self-made questionnaire in order to get a broader picture of how much knowledge does the "everyday" person has about this topic.
