Absztrakt (kivonat)
The incorporation of interactive technology into cultural institutions has become a powerful factor in changing visitor experiences and cultural involvement on a worldwide scale. This thesis investigates the difficulties and advantages of incorporating interactive technology into museums and art centers in Laos. The main objective is to improve cultural preservation, visitor engagement, and sustainable growth in the Lao cultural sector.Utilizing an extensive examination of scholarly works, this research investigates the chronological development of museums and the progressive incorporation of technology into cultural establishments around the globe. This study analyzes the cultural environment of Laos and the consequences of incorporating technology in this environment, acknowledging the distinct difficulties and advantages that exist within Lao cultural contexts. The study used a mixed-methods approach, integrating primary research techniques such as interviews and surveys with secondary research methods including literature reviews and case studies. This analytical framework enables a comprehensive examination of the complex challenges related to the incorporation of technology in museums and art institutions in Laos. The study's findings indicate many obstacles that impede the successful integration of interactive technology in cultural organizations in Laos. The problems include technical infrastructure limits, cultural hurdles, budgetary restrictions, and the need for capacity-building among museum personnel. Although there are difficulties, there are also favorable prospects for using interactive technology to improve visitor experiences, foster cultural understanding, and appeal to a wide range of people. The research emphasizes the significance of allocating resources to develop technical infrastructure that may facilitate the seamless incorporation of interactive displays in museums and art centers in Laos, while ensuring long-term viability. It supports efforts to improve the digital literacy and technical abilities of museum staff via capacity-building activities. Collaborative alliances between technology firms, educational establishments, and governmental organizations are recognized as crucial catalysts for fostering innovation and facilitating the sharing of information in endeavors related to the integration of technology.Community participation is essential for the construction of interactive displays as it ensures that the exhibits are culturally relevant and sensitive to the specific requirements and preferences of the local community. By engaging local populations in the creation and production of exhibits, cultural institutions in Laos may produce impactful and inclusive experiences that deeply connect with visitors. The recommendations derived from this study highlight the need of implementing strong evaluation and feedback systems to consistently evaluate the impact and efficacy of interactive technology efforts. The iterative method allows museums and art centers to improve their strategy, tackle growing difficulties, and take advantage of new possibilities in technology integration.Furthermore, it provides significant insights into the problems and prospects of incorporating interactive technology into museums and art centers in Laos. However, it admits limitations such as the small sample size and cultural idiosyncrasies that may impact the adoption of technology. Potential areas for future study including longitudinal studies examining the effects of interactive technology, comparative assessments involving foreign settings, and investigations into policy frameworks that facilitate the integration of technology. To summarize, this dissertation highlights how interactive technology may significantly enhance museum experiences, safeguard cultural assets, and promote sustainable growth in the Lao cultural sector. Lao museums and art centers may use technology to actively include, instruct, and motivate broad audiences, so guaranteeing the ongoing vitality and significance of cultural institutions in the digital era.
