In the contemporary era of urbanization and digital transformation, cities worldwide are embracing the concept of smart cities to address the complex challenges of urban living. Budapest, as a leading European capital, stands at the forefront of this movement, seeking to leverage innovative technologies and data-driven approaches to enhance the quality of life for its residents. Central to this endeavor is the optimization of transportation systems, a cornerstone of urban mobility and sustainability.This thesis investigates the smart transportation techniques employed within the context of Budapest's evolution as a smart city. Through a multidisciplinary approach encompassing urban planning, technology innovation, and policy analysis, the research examines the strategies, initiatives, and technologies driving the transformation of transportation in Budapest.
