Business owners invest significant time and effort in improving the value of their company through strategic growth plans with clear objectives. To fully capitalize on earning potential and comprehend the factors influencing value, businesses undertake a valuation process. This allows them to develop strategic plans and make informed decisions for future actions. In the context of the insurance industry, characterized by its unique cash flow dynamics, the valuation of an insurance company becomes crucial. It not only helps the firm gain a larger market share but also attracts investors, thereby raising additional capital for the company. The focus of the thesis case study is Allianz and Allianz’s equitization will be thoroughly researched and examined. Further of the thesis, the valuation of Allianz at the time of the study will use various methods to determine its adequacy. The thesis will also evaluate whether a particular valuation method is suitable for Allianz by comparing results across different methods, aiming for the most accurate valuation. Additionally, the study will delve into the advantages and disadvantages associated with each valuation method.
