The bachelor thesis meticulously delves into the intricate landscape of integrating and administrating Robotic Process Automation (RPA) within the operational framework of a multinational corporation (Case company). Through a comprehensive analysis, it meticulously scrutinizes the multifaceted advantages and drawbacks of RPA, providing a nuanced understanding of its potential impact on organizational processes and digital transformation. Furthermore, the thesis meticulously examines the company's RPA implementation schedule, offering a detailed overview of the strategic and operational considerations involved in the deployment of RPA within a multinational context. Moreover, the study critically evaluates the guidance provided by the central authority, shedding light on the best practices and strategic directives that underpin successful RPA deployment. Additionally, it emphasizes the establishment of a vibrant community for RPA developers, highlighting the collaborative and cross-functional nature of RPA initiatives within the organization. This not only underscores the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration but also emphasizes the need for effective communication and coordination across different business units and functional areas. Furthermore, the thesis meticulously assesses the participation of business representatives in RPA advancement, emphasizing the pivotal role of stakeholder engagement in driving the successful implementation and management of RPA. It also critically examines the management structure's capacity to enhance the RPA platform and effectively manage interactions with providers and vendors, providing invaluable insights into the organizational readiness and governance mechanisms necessary for successful RPA implementation and management.By addressing the challenges and opportunities of a federated management approach for RPA, the research significantly contributes to the theoretical comprehension of RPA management, underscoring the necessity for further exploration and investigation in this domain. In conclusion, the thesis offers a comprehensive analysis of the implementation and management of RPA within a multinational case company, providing valuable insights into the strategic, operational, and organizational aspects of RPA deployment. The findings and recommendations from this research can serve as a valuable resource for organizations seeking to leverage RPA for process optimization and digital transformation.
