Absztrakt (kivonat)

This thesis embarks on a comprehensive exploration of the intricate domain of knowledge management, unravelling its multifaceted dimensions, from conceptual foundations to practical applications within organizational settings. Beginning with an in-depth analysis of knowledge management's definition and its pivotal role, the study underscores the critical consensus among researchers regarding the dire consequences of neglecting knowledge management practices. It illuminates the evolution of knowledge management, tracing its historical roots and highlighting seminal contributions that have shaped its contemporary manifestations. The literature review meticulously dissects the four fundamental processes constituting knowledge management: knowledge acquisition and creation, storage, sharing, and application. It elucidates how these interconnected processes intricately weave into the organizational fabric, necessitating tailored strategies for their effective implementation. Emphasizing the importance of integrating both internal and external sources, the review underscores the imperative of fostering a culture that encourages knowledge exchange and absorption. Moreover, it delves into the profound impact of knowledge management on organizational culture, employee satisfaction, and firm performance. It elucidates how a supportive knowledge culture acts as a catalyst for learning, innovation, and value creation, thus directly influencing the competitive edge of an organization. The review further substantiates this by correlating effective knowledge management practices with improved financial performance, underscoring the symbiotic relationship between knowledge management strategies and a firm's success. Transitioning from theoretical underpinnings to empirical investigation, the study spotlights a Hungarian financial auditing company's approach in integrating and nurturing newly graduated employees. Through a meticulous examination of methodology and implementation, it unveils the company's robust framework for training novice auditors. Noteworthy is the emphasis on comprehensive training, mentorship, and continuous learning, aligning seamlessly with both industry demands and the organization's strategic objectives. Insights gleaned from interviews conducted within the company offer a rich tapestry of perspectives on effective training methodologies. From the unanimous appreciation of dedicated training sessions to the recognition of the pivotal role of practice exercises and feedback mechanisms, the shared experiences underscore the delicate balance required for optimal skill development. It becomes evident that an environment fostering inquiry alongside independent problem-solving skills is crucial for successful knowledge assimilation. The study concludes by advocating for enhanced performance evaluations, resonating with the sentiments expressed by novices, and supporting management's initiatives for improvement. This imperative call for evolution in assessment methods echoes the dynamic nature of knowledge management and workforce development, reinforcing the need for adaptive strategies in aligning organizational objectives with employee growth and skill enhancement. In sum, this thesis not only contributes to the theoretical understanding of knowledge management but also offers invaluable insights into its practical manifestations within organizational contexts. By synthesizing theoretical constructs with real-world applications, it presents a holistic framework for fostering effective knowledge management strategies, thereby shaping the discourse on organizational learning, innovation, and sustainable growth.
