Absztrakt (kivonat)

The prospect of a Chinese economic collapse has garnered significant attention, drawing upon various concerns including allegations, stock market fluctuations, burgeoning debts, challenges in Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) investments, tensions with Taiwan, and shifting policy dynamics. This research paper aims to critically analyze and evaluate the multifaceted factors contributing to this speculation. The first section investigates the allegations and empirical data related to China's economic stability, delving into stock market deflation, mounting debts, challenges and failures within BRI initiatives, and the geopolitical implications of the ongoing tensions with Taiwan. Additionally, an in-depth examination of policy shifts and their potential impact on the economy forms a crucial part of the analysis. However, the second section presents a counter-narrative, shedding light on elements that mitigate the likelihood of an imminent collapse. It explores China's diverse and resilient economy, the government's strategies to address market fluctuations, proactive debt management measures, as well as global economic interdependencies that act as stabilizing factors. By synthesizing these contrasting viewpoints, this paper offers a comprehensive assessment of the complex landscape surrounding the Chinese economy. The conclusion emphasizes the interplay of risk factors and resilience, underscoring the complexity of predicting a definitive economic downfall and the need for a nuanced understanding of China's economic landscape.
