Abstract

Eurasian Economic Union and Kyrgyzstan: current challenges and possible future directions . Eurasian Economic Union was formed with the aim of fostering closer and stronger economic cooperation among Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia as a single market for goods and services. This paper explores the history, evalution of the EEU as well as its current problems, their impact on member states and possible future achievements. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, the states weakened economically and the union was established to develop mutual trade and investment flows between member countries strengthening macroeconomic policies, the state of common labor market. The importance of the union in global political and and economic landscape has gained enormous importance as it was supporting common policies in the microeconomic spheres such as agriculture, transport, food, energy additionally foreign trade and investment among member countries to provide stable economic development. This article analyzes the preliminary goals for creating the organization and ongoing challenges and their impact on member states as well as possible positive results of long-lasting cooperation including Kyrgyzstan’s achievements so far as one of the members of the union. In this research, some appropriate methods are used to extend and understand the topic deeply, they are synthesis, comparing, analysis, specifying, quantitive and qualitative research methods. The research outcomes are :The Union nowadays are experiencing socio-economic and political challenges despite having achieved some economical success during the recent years , howevever, there is ongoing progress to eliminate challenges pertaining to the efficient coordination of macroeconomic policies and dynamics of public opinion relative Eurasian integration in five member countries. In addition to this, Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the organization will have comparative advantage in increasing the export and transit potential in upcoming years.
