Absztrakt (kivonat)
This study delves into the intricate relationship between China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) investment programs with conditions and Central Asia, a region strategically positioned along the BRI routes. Central Asia, comprising Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, finds itself at the crossroads of this modern Silk Road, making it pivotal within the BRI framework. The investment offered by China to these nations is characterized by multifaceted conditions that carry the potential to both empower and ensnare the recipient nations. This research addresses the following central research questions: 1. What is the nature and extent of China's investment programs with conditions in Central Asia? 2. What are the economic, political, and socio-cultural consequences of China's investment programs on Central Asian countries? 3. How do the conditions attached to Chinese investment influence governance, sovereignty, and foreign relations in Central Asia? This research employs a multidimensional methodology to investigate the influence of BRI investment programs on conditions in Central Asia. It includes a comprehensive literature review, in-depth case studies, data analysis, policy examination, and comparative analysis to provide a nuanced understanding of the research topic. The findings of this study are expected to provide a comprehensive understanding of the influence of China's BRI investment programs on conditions in Central Asia. The research findings reveal significant economic benefits for Central Asian countries through China's Belt and Road Initiative investment programs. While the BRI has led to improved infrastructure and connectivity, the lack of transparency and conditions attached to Chinese investment have raised concerns. The research suggests that a balanced approach is essential to harness the positive aspects of the BRI while addressing potential challenges.
