India's remarkable journey towards development has been shaped by a strong interplay between its government and economy. This thesis aims to delve into the factors that have contributed to India's progress, focusing on the key players, the country's strategic approach, the Belt and Road issue, and their overarching goals. India's governmental and economic development has been propelled by a collaborative effort involving various stakeholders. This includes the government, private sector, international organizations, and civil society, all working towards achieving sustainable growth and development. India has adopted a multi-faceted strategy to foster its governmental and economic development. This includes implementing policy reforms, promoting entrepreneurship, enhancing infrastructure, investing in human capital, and fostering international collaborations India's stance on China's Belt and Road Initiative has been a significant aspect of its developmental trajectory. Analyzing the country’s response to this initiative and its implications on the country's economic and geopolitical interests will shed light on the complexities of India's development. The country’s overarching goals encompass inclusive growth, poverty alleviation, job creation, sustainable development, and becoming a global economic powerhouse. Understanding these goals in the context of the country's governmental and economic development will provide valuable insights. By exploring the connection between India's governmental and economic development, this thesis seeks to unravel the intricate dynamics that have shaped the country's progress. It is hoped that this research will contribute to a deeper understanding of India's development trajectory and inform future policy decisions.
