Absztrakt (kivonat)
After the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses faced the difficult task of devising an optimal working model that harmonized productivity, profitability, and employee well-being. The hybrid work model, initially implemented as a temporary measure, gained prominence owing to its potential advantages, such as cost savings, time efficiency, and an enhanced work-life balance. Besides its merits, concerns about potential drawbacks, including issues like decreased productivity and feelings of isolation, have spurred discussions about its long-term viability. This thesis delves into the effectiveness of the hybrid work model, drawing on a comprehensive study conducted at KPMG Hungary. The primary Research objective is to explore the intricate relationship between employee preferences, workplace culture, employee behavior, and human management approaches within the framework of the hybrid work model by utilizing a quantitative approach. The research involved an online survey administered within the multinational context of KPMG Hungary, yielding crucial insights that align with and reinforce findings from previous studies. The result showed that there are three key factors emerged as contributors to the success of the hybrid work model. Firstly, the creation of a comfortable working environment was found to significantly boost employee motivation and performance. Secondly, a focus on collaboration and well-being not only enhanced employee satisfaction but also facilitated effective task allocation by managers. Lastly, human-centric management practices, characterized by trust and empowerment, played a vital role in motivating employees to fulfill their responsibilities. In summary, this research underscores the dynamic interplay between the hybrid work model and various factors such as employee expectations, workplace culture, employee behavior, and human management strategies. Successfully implementing the hybrid Work model necessitates a holistic understanding and alignment of these factors to cultivate a work environment that is both productive and supportive of employees' needs and expectations. Employers can leverage these insights to identify suitable working models for the future, fostering an environment that prioritizes both company profits and employee well-being. The study makes a valuable contribution by consolidating findings from previous research, offering insights that can guide employers in navigating the evolving landscape of work models. It emphasizes the importance of a nuanced and adaptable approach to meet the dual goals of organizational success and employee satisfaction.
