Absztrakt (kivonat)
Since COVID-19 pandemic hybrid work has become the new standard of working at many organizations. With this new norm it is important to consider employees’ well-being as they are the core of companies. This research aims to highlight the effects of hybrid work on employee well-being, based on their experience and opinions. Additionally, the purpose of this project is to provide insight to a specific company’s well-being initiatives, namely Grundfos. By answering these questions, recommendations will be given to the company. The data for this research was gathered through semi-structured interviews with eight employees from Grundfos. Secondary data was also collected on already applied initiatives from the company’s internal websites. The findings concluded that hybrid work environment has beneficial effects on employee well-being. This is thanks to flexibility, less commuting which indicates less stress, more energy and time and better work-life balance. Concerns were also raised by the participants, which were possible overwork and communication difficulties. Further results indicate that Grundfos is paying attention to its employees’ well-being, with many already implemented initiatives. The company also ensures a great leadership strategy which is a key element of a positive work environment. Participants were also asked what the company should focus on to enhance its well-being initiatives. Based on these recommendations new initiatives were suggested and improvement on already used one was given. These findings indicate that Grundfos is on the right track to create a great program on employee well-being, but there is also room for improvement, where they should investigate the fundamentals of well-being and create programs accordingly.
