Absztrakt (kivonat)

Tourism plays a significant role in the global economy, contributing to job creation, income generation, and foreign exchange earnings. The BRICS nations—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—are emerging economies with vast potential in the tourism sector. This proposal aims to assess the strategic role and benefits of tourism in the BRICS region.Tourism is a critical sector for economic development and job creation in the BRICS region. This proposal aims to assess the strategic role and benefits of tourism in the BRICS region. The proposed study will provide insights into the contribution of tourism to the economies of the BRICS countries, the challenges facing the tourism industry, the potential of the BRICS region, and strategies for enhancing the strategic role and benefits of tourism in the BRICS region. Tourism is one of the largest service industries and plays a significant role in the economic development of BRICS nations. The industry contributes to economic development through gross domestic product (GDP), multiplier effect, employment, and investment opportunities. It is therefore imperative for the BRICS countries to invest more in infrastructure development to support the development of tourism and reap more benefits from it.Snowball sampling is utilized as the chosen sampling method. technique for the current study. Among the nonprobability sampling methods, snowball sampling is a technique used in statistical and sociological research. volunteers are introduced to new volunteers through the networks of research participants who have already volunteered for the study as recruiters. This technique was chosen based on the availability and willingness of the respondents; hence the snowball sampling method was necessary for the research study. Representatives from BRICS countries were needed for interviews to provide comprehensive insights into current and historical tourism data, focusing on strategies, opportunities, and challenges. Thanks to its networking capabilities and adaptability, snowball sampling has become a widely used method for recruiting study participants to reach difficult-to-reach communities An initial mixed strategy that included in-depth interviews and qualitative content analysis was chosen. These techniques were chosen to prevent issues with low response rates and non-responses, as well as to modify the research design for the intended audience and generate useful results. Only qualitative content analysis was used in the study due to the constraints discussed in Chapter 5.Design a structured questionnaire with sections addressing various aspects of tourism strategies, such as marketing, infrastructure, policy frameworks, challenges, and collaborative initiatives. To get a thorough set of quantitative and qualitative data, use a combination of closed-ended questions (such as multiple-choice) and open-ended questions. I, in my capacity as the researcher designed a survey tailored to the specific context of each BRICS country, focusing on the research theme of tourism strategies. Thereafter, I contacted the BRICS delegates through official channels, explaining the research purpose and seeking their participation. Assured them of confidentiality and explained the importance of their input in shaping tourism strategies. The questionnaire was administered using mixed methods; combination of online surveys with follow-up interviews for a comprehensive understandingThe limitations impacted the research findings: limited tourism data and strategies focusing on BRICS cooperation, and the unavailability of stakeholders to partake in the study.
