Absztrakt (kivonat)

The thesis aims to analyze the inventory management processes of finished products of a multinational chemical and consumer goods company, Henkel. More specifically, it analyzes the inventory management of an adhesive supply planner's product portfolio.The researchused different reports of the company and included interviews with the supply planner, and with a raw material planner in order to gain a deeper understanding. In addition, the thesis examines the effectiveness of the predetermined inventory value target, the currently employed inventory management strategies to reach the target level, their effectiveness, and their effects. Furthermore, reveal other inventory management possibility, and hindering factors that make the optimization process difficult.
