The aim of the research was to get a deeper understanding about the role, place, and the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility in the telecommunication industry, focusing on Deutsche Telekom and its affiliate, Magyar Telekom. The research delves into the historical development of CSR in the telecommunications industry, examining how CSR practices have evolved over time, particularly considering the changing expectations of stakeholders and the wider societal context. The thesis provides an in-depth analysis of the CSR initiatives and strategies employed by both companies, shedding light on their similarities and differences. Furthermore, the study investigates the implications of CSR on business operations and stakeholder relationships within these organizations. By comparing the experiences of Deutsche Telekom and Magyar Telekom, this research offers insights into how CSR practices can affect employees, customers, and the broader community. The findings reveal that CSR plays a pivotal role in shaping the corporate identity and reputation of both companies, with a particular emphasis on sustainability, environmental protection, and social inclusion.
