Absztrakt (kivonat)
The 1990s saw a significant increase in the interconnection and close interaction of national economies in numerous fields. The cross-border flow of capital, which started to pick up steam in earnest in the middle of the 1990s, has been a key component of globalization and development. Hungary joined the international process after the political change in 1989 and, like other developing and transitioning nations, became a destination for foreign direct investment (FDI). Hungary has a tiny open economy, therefore it is in its best interests to continue the transformation of that economy, since there is only one way for the country to proceed after the change in government: integration into the world economy and the global system of free markets. This may establish the groundwork for improved standards of living and the emergence of a welfare state where people can have prosperous lives. Over the past decades, Hungary has managed to attract significant foreign capital to the country, with many large multinational companies setting up subsidiaries in Hungary, making us capital exporters ourselves. The economic literature has conducted extensive research on this novel economic phenomenon. This has resulted in a new line of inquiry into the phenomena of foreign working capital that has been thoroughly documented, explained, and comprehended.Coming to the end of my master's studies, I also considered foreign direct investment to be an interesting area of research, as more and more significant multinational companies are setting up in our country every year. As I have been a go-kart racer for many years as a child, and subsequently became very close to motorsport itself, I also studied the sponsorship opportunities of motorsport in my Bachelor thesis. I intend to continue my research in other areas, sometimes referring to the earlier study.Research mainly relies on secondary sources, but I will also analyze available statistical data, examine the activities of some domestic automotive suppliers, and try to analyze the relationship between motorsport and the automotive industry. The vast majority of Hungarians first think of motor racing and associate it with Formula 1, which has been held continuously since 1986 at the Hungaroring circuit near Mogyoród. This is no coincidence, as Formula 1 has become an integral part of Hungarian sporting history, spreading the sport's popularity in Hungary as the flagship of motorsport. However, in addition to the prestigious international tournament, several other international car races are also held in Hungary. Over the last decades, the domestic automotive industry has also boomed, with several large international companies opening factories within our borders. At the same time, the demand for cars has also soared, and while buying a car used to be difficult, you can now buy one almost anywhere at any time.1.1. Research areasIn this master's thesis, I want to touch on several research areas. First, foreign working capital, as stated in the title of the thesis, is defined, mostly based on definitions based on literature books. In addition, on the one hand, I think it is important to briefly talk about the sport of car racing, and I will also briefly introduce the automotive industry, and then I will try to make you feel the close connection between the two areas. As the body of the thesis, I present the foreign investments coming to our country, which affects the automotive industry and auto racing, and then I compare the Hungarian practice with other countries where car manufacturing is really emphasized and auto racing also has a long history. Towards the end of the study, I try to predict the future of car racing and the automotive industry, based on various studies. To prepare the thesis, I formulated some assumptions, which I will try to support or refute during the research. The assumptions of the research are as follows: I assume that the vehicle industry contributes significantly to the Hungarian economy. I assume that the added value of Hungarian factories is significant in international value chains. I assume that many developments can be adapted to street cars through auto racing. I assume that many developments are taking place in the field of car racing to make the sport as environmentally friendly as possible. The choice of topic was primarily justified by its professional topicality, on the other hand, my professional curiosity, as my involvement also motivated me to examine the field of motorsport and the automobile industry. Between 2009 and 2012, I was competing as a certified go-kart competitor of the Kálmán Motorsport Racing Team. I am proud that as a motorsport lover, can also have a very successful career behind me, winning the National Hungarian Go-Kart Championship, and not to mention many other race victories in motorsport, which is a very important part of my life to this day
