<p dir="ltr" style="text-align:left;"></p><p><b><span lang="en-gb" xml:lang="en-gb">Abstract</span></b></p> <p>This thesis aims to analyse and map the potential disruptive impacts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on business development, with a special emphasis on decision-making. Current events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 or the Russo-Ukrainian war of 2022 has called for the rapid development of AI, that is able to operate in an unprecedentedly efficient way during the times of uncertainty. This accelerated progress of AI has caught the attention of scientists, experts and scholars from around the globe, investigating the potential impacts of the technology. My thesis investigates and demonstrates the expected benefits, challenges, and threats that AI may bring to businesses. Through secondary and primary research, the study reveals that AI will surely disrupt both the public and private sectors, and it will have a significant impact on an organization's development. Whether the integration of AI will bring positive or negative outcomes, it solely depends on the actions taken by executives and managers. AI offers infinite benefits, such as enhancing productivity and reducing inputs, but firms should also consider the precariousness of the technology. Albeit, it is important to discuss and put an emphasis on the risks and threats associated with it. The study sheds light on numerous threats associated with AI, including the elimination of human labor force, extreme pressure on employees, and unprecedented fraudulent actions. Companies should investigate these threats before fully deploying AI, as they vary depending on the organizational structure, size, and exposure. The research reveals, that a pre-defined AI adaption strategy could ensure a favorable outcome and help prepare the company for unforeseeable situations. If implemented appropriately, AI could ensure sustainable prosperity for all actors on the market. However, it is important to maintain a positive attitude towards AI while keeping an eye on the long-term consequences that may arise from its integration.</p> <p>Keywords: Artificial Intelligence, business development, decision-making, business intelligence, digital transformation, benefits and challenges, disruptive impacts</p><br><p></p>
