Absztrakt (kivonat)

Credit risk management plays a critical role in the financial stabilityand success of corporations. This thesis introduces the concept of riskmanagement and explores more in depth the realm of credit risk management, analyzingthe actors in the market and concentrating on the context of corporations.It is aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of the strategies,challenges, and best practices employed by organizations to identify, assess,and manage credit risk effectively.The study draws upon a real-world case study, industry literature, andexpert insights to examine the key components of an effective credit riskmanagement framework. It delves into credit risk assessment methodologies,credit monitoring systems, credit limit analysis, and risk mitigationstrategies. The case study on FrieslandCampina, is the fruit of research onpublic information and internal policies, in order to supply an empirical studyof how credit risk is managed at a corporation that is successful in its field.The findings from this research make a substantial addition to theexisting knowledge base. Not only do they provide valuable insight andpractical recommendations for FrieslandCampina, but also pave a way on how to optimizeits procedures and achieve an even more successful credit risk managementwithin the company.
