Absztrakt (kivonat)

<p dir="ltr" style="text-align:left;"></p><p>Until 2020, the economies of the eurozone’s member states overcame the 2008 financial crisis and were on a balanced growth path. However, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the energy crisis and the Russia-Ukraine war, inflation in the eurozone has risen to unprecedented levels.</p> <p>In my thesis, I looked into the evolution of euro area's inflation between 2019 and 2022, analysing its development separately in Germany and France. I have also attempted to examine the factors that caused the price growth rate to spiral out of control. I tried to present and analyse the change of inflation over time and its sectoral development with the help of graphs.</p><p><span style="font-size:1rem;">In my thesis, I mainly focused on analysing the inflation of the past 4 years, but I considered it necessary to make a brief historical outlook focusing on previous economic crises, and related inflation, as previously used crisis management techniques and solutions can help the economy fight inflation.</span></p><br><p></p>
