This study isconducted to investigate the effects of privatization on economic growth inGhana. In the last two decades, the country has seen many state-ownedenterprises change ownership and control into private hands. The study isconducted now, emphasizing how long a respondent has worked with theorganization under instigation.A respondentwho has worked with the firm for about a decade would see both sides of theorganization before and after privatization. This gives them sufficientknowledge about the organization to make the responses highly relevant. Aquestionnaire is used, and data is collected from sixty (60) respondents fromten (60) privatized institutions in the country. The studyemployed Relative Importance Index (RII) to analyse and rank the measurement ofprivatization, its effects on organizational efficiency, and economic growth. It was found that the share of GDP of privatized institutions is the mostcritical measure of the phenomenon; on the effects of privatization on theefficiency of the firms, it was found that accountability was the most crucialparameter in that regard. Finally, thestudy revealed that privatization increases the efficiency of the products andservices of the organization sold, which positively affects the entire economyin the long run.Therecommendation dawn from the study was that nonperforming state-ownedenterprises be privatized to increase their productivity, efficiency, andgeneral contribution to the country's economic growth.
