Absztrakt (kivonat)

Thisstudy is of an explorative nature, examining the factors influencing consumer preferencesfor Thai and Lao non-durable household goods while taking into account theimpact of demographics, advertising strategies, and ethical considerations. Infact, a mixed-methods approach is employed to gather comprehensive data,providing insights into the various aspects that shape consumer choices. Asa result, the findings essentially highlight the importance of product quality,price, brand image, and sustainability in shaping consumer preferences.Furthermore, the study reveals that younger, higher-income, and more educatedindividuals exhibit a stronger inclination toward Thai-produced goods. Byaddressing these concerns and promoting local products, Laos can potentiallyboost its domestic economy and foster greater national pride. Therefore, thestudy concludes with policy recommendations aimed at improving local Laoproducts and encouraging consumer support for domestically produced goods.
