<p dir="ltr" style="text-align:left;"></p><p><span lang="hu" xml:lang="hu">This thesis is the academic result of my two-year studies at the Budapest Business School and was written as completing a master's degree in International Economy and Business. The paper analyses Angola's position in the global value chains and how it impacts the country's economy. I have chosen this topic because I found it very interesting since there is not much available data on traditional websites about Angola's participation in the GVC. As an Angolan citizen, I wanted to make a study on it. </span></p> <p><span lang="hu" xml:lang="hu">The paper starts by analyzing the country's economic situation, from which sectors the economy is sustainable, and how it contributes to the regional and global economy, as well as regional and global value chains. It also analyses if the GVC has an impact on it. The analyses emphasize that Angola's current economic situation is starting to get better compared to the previous year, but it relies more on the oil sector which is not good. But the government is taking measures to change this situation.</span></p> <p><span lang="hu" xml:lang="hu">The paper analysis emphasizes that Angola's participation in regional and global value chains is not very significant, except for the oil sector, and maybe some agricultural products, as well as diamonds. The analysis also emphasizes that GVC has an influence on the economy of Angola. As GVC is the primary support for the main development of the economy such as the production, trade, and labor market, characteristics of GVC participation are important from the point of view of economic development. The country's abundant natural resources serve as the foundation for its&nbsp;participation in the trade as export products.</span></p><br><p></p>
