<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;"></p><div title="Page 3"> <div> <div> <p>Culinary tourism has become a popular form of tourism worldwide, and Hai Phong city in Vietnam is one of the emerging culinary destinations. This study aimed to identify the factors that affect the decision-making process of culinary tourists in choosing Hai Phong city as a culinary tourism destination. The study used both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies as part of a mixed-methods strategy. The primary data was collected through an online survey distributed on various social media platforms. The survey generated 161 responses, which were analyzed using statistical methods. The secondary data was collected through a comprehensive literature review, which gave the study a theoretical base. </p> <p>The findings revealed that the success of culinary tourism in Hai Phong city is attributed to several factors, including local cuisine and dining experiences, cultural heritage, and hospitality. The study also demonstrated that social media significantly affects the city's reputation and appeal as a culinary destination. The research suggests that further efforts are needed to enhance the tourism industry in Hai Phong city, particularly through the use of social media marketing strategies to attract more culinary tourists.. However, the sampling method used in the survey was a limitation, as it may not have represented the entire population of culinary tourists in the city. </p> <p>Based on the findings, recommendations were made for the government, the hospitality/tourism/events industry, and the participants. Policymakers, tourism stakeholders, and marketers may use the study’s results to create plans to advertise Hai Phong as a culinary tourism destination.</p></div></div></div><br><p></p>
