Absztrakt (kivonat)

Kazakhstan’s Almaty area is home to numerous natural attractions that have the potential to draw tourists from all around the world. However, the rapid pace of urbanization and industrialization in the region has led to a number of ecological challenges, including massive air pollution, water scarcity, and habitat destruction. In order to capitalize on the potential of Kazakhstan's natural beauty while preserving its fragile ecosystem, it is essential to develop responsible eco-tourism strategies that promote sustainable economic growth while minimizing negative impacts on the environment. National parks, as a distinct category of protected regions, such as Altyn-Emel National Park, hold immense potential for fostering eco-tourism due to their primary objectives of ecosystem conservation and managing land use for ecological, educational, scientific, and recreational pursuits.
Early in the millennium, ecotourism research in Kazakhstan started to pick up steam, but there is still a dearth of highly specialized research output and interest. This research evaluates the amount of literature on ecotourism in the nation while also taking into account the difficulties raised by famous Kazakhstani experts. The study begins with a thorough examination of the development of ecotourism research, examining its conceptualization, historical background, challenges, and significance to the research community. It also explores previous and present research priorities, potential new research, and the value of studies done in Altyn-Emel National Park. Researchers looking to understand the development of ecotourism studies in the context of Kazakhstan would benefit greatly from the analysis and literature review, which also offers a thorough description of the current ecotourism market. The purpose of this study is to close a substantial knowledge and information gap regarding ecotourism in Kazakhstan’s Almaty region and the country itself. By doing this, we want to empower the region's local communities so they may take part in and profit from projects for sustainable development while defending their natural and cultural heritage. In addition, the study aims to offer helpful recommendations that can improve ecotourism and community empowerment in Kazakhstan.
