<p dir="ltr" style="text-align:left;">This thesis is about youth tourism and summer camps, mainly in the United States but a small part is about Hungary. My two research questions were:&nbsp;<span lang="EN-US">&nbsp;</span><span lang="EN-US">What types of tourism does a sleep away summer camp offers in the United States</span><span lang="EN-US">? and&nbsp;<span lang="EN-US">What are the differences and similarities between a Hungarian sleep away summer camp and a U</span><span lang="EN-US">.</span><span lang="EN-US">S</span><span lang="EN-US">.</span><span lang="EN-US">&nbsp;summer camp?<br><br>Youth tourism is a quickly growing tourism sector with about 336 million youth travelers around the world. When thinking about youth tourism the majority of the people think about youth between ages 15-29, this is the age when they are able to travel without a parent or a guardian. Usually, youth tourists stay longer at their destination, they support local communities, usually they travel to experience a new culture and meet new people. There are a lot of programs supporting youth tourism, in Europe there is the DiscoverEu program that gives people who recently turned 18 free travel passes to use for 1-30 days throughout Europe on all of the trains. Another very useful program is the Erasmus and all of its variations and other forms of student exchange programs. When I was 17, I have spent half a year in Belgium as an exchange student studying the French language and I stayed with a very nice exchange family.<br></span></span></p>
