<p dir="ltr" style="text-align:left;"></p><p>The automotive replacement market is an essential complementary market of the automotive sector as it is vital for consumers to keep their vehicles in a condition that is safe to operate. This study attempts to uncover whether this market segment is viable and profitable for different sized businesses alike, by comparing the economic activities of two specifically selected companies: one retailer and one wholesaler. There seems to be an informational void on this market, in terms of the commercial participants, there is no recent data or study that would focus ont he implications the automotive market faces due to the hardships of the local automotive industry. All of the available researches have the auomotive replacement market on the edge of their scope, barely examining the topic. As it is a comparative study with a small sample size, the qualitative and multi-method approach was determined to be the most appropiate. A complementary SWOT matrix and a few important economic indicators were also generated to assist in analyzing the data presented and drawing the proper conclusions. It was quite a surprise to learn that the automotive replacement market has had the same number of retail type establishments for at least five years, which goes to show how stable this market segment actually is, despite the number of recent global events disrupting it. The Covid-19 did not impact the participants of this market financially as deeply as it did on other markets, as the vehicles were still in some use during the pandemic too. A main revelation was that the importance of the geographical location of a business on this market sector is heightened quite much. </p><br><p></p>
