Absztrakt (kivonat)
To summarise, I showed what young people in their twenties are like today. I feel that I mapped the financial situation of people in their 20s, their attitude towards finances, and their care for themselves. I wrote about, that parental influence is how important in case of finances on young people. The basic knowledge on money, and how to handle it, it is from them, so it is extremely important at even a very young age to educate their children. Not only does it depend on how adults will handle their money, because it depends on the individual what strategies and methods they use, but it does add to the beginner's attitude to money. Furthermore, in addition to parental influence, emotions and behaviors play a very significant role in our spending. Many of us make impulsive decisions when it comes to finances, even because of our emotions. In case of financial attitude, young people especially in their twenties need to learn they cannot get everything at first, they need to do something and work on that and wait , and also consider what is really important to THEMSELVES and not to others, because they are tend to meet other's attention with their things they buy. What I would also add is the importance of time management, because young people tend to indulge in vain dreams about the fact that they still have life ahead of them and that they still have time to improve in their handling of money. I would be most happy if, in the future, financial awareness education were introduced throughout Hungary already in high school, and I would encourage parents and relatives to help young people, to help them think through their financial decisions so that they don't spend irresponsibly in the big world. As I mentioned before in my thesis, it is essential from a very young age to educate the child about the relationship and attitude towards money. I would appreciate it, if the interactive financial education story by the OTP András Fáy foundation could reach almost every elementary school in the country, and it would be good if more educational programs like this or similar ones were invented for today's elementary school students, in order to lay the foundation for their skills necessary for life. Also, perseverance and daring are great virtues in the life of a successful person. During my research, I was also curious about, among other things, who pays enough attention to their expenses and income even in their 20s. However, based on my questionnaire, I saw that many people can manage their income and also have savings. Many people think about their future in their early twenties and save on a monthly basis, but there are still a few people, who are not even thinking about it. I got the answers to the questions I was looking for, I already know what a person my age spends most of his/her salary on, unfortunately or not unfortunately, but just like me, on food and housing. This can actually be said to be natural, although it is saddening how much of a person's salary these two categories take up. Furthermore, I was very curious about what was more important to them out of the 3 categories (money, love of work, both). I also found out that my respondents most motivated at work, to me, somewhat surprisingly, money motivated them better (54%), than love what they do (41%), and the balance between the two matters only a little amount to them (5%). However, my hypothesis failed, as I assumed that people living in the capital have less savings due to the high rent and food prices. While 53% of the capital city residents can put it aside regularly and 28% occasionally, 54% of rural residents can regularly and only 19% occasionally. 19% of my participants in the capital cannot put it aside at all, while 27% of my participants in the countryside cannot. After all, it is possible that their wages are much higher than those in rural areas, so they have more savings. Obviously, a lot depends on income, and it must be admitted that, on the one hand, there are more job opportunities in the capital, and on the other hand, the salaries are also higher. Most of my fillers do not live for hedonism. Only 12% of my respondents spends their money on entertainment, and 6% on travelling. It is possible, that it's because they can't do it, or it's just not a priority for them. In any case, I feel that the future is in the hands of today's twenties, i.e. vicenarians, they must now take care of their financial independence and care for their loved ones, should make smart, deliberate decisions for life. This is the most important stage in a person's life, in my humble opinion. Financial awareness is a major key to a happy and successful life. I feel that my fillers also showed potential towards a successful young life.
