Absztrakt (kivonat)
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has been transformed. In the early months of the crisis, there were tens of millions of people lost their jobs because many businesses constantly implemented job cuts due to face the challenges of massive shifts in demand, supply chains, transportation and mobility, inflation, worker protection, and government-mandated closures. For example, in the retail, hospitality, food services, and travel industries furloughed and laid-off employees because of the impacts of social distancing policies by the government. In addition, across multiple sectors, many employees worked from home for long periods of time - many for the first time in their lives. At that time, both consumers and workers are experiencing shocks such as the fear of becoming infected or the prospect of losing their livelihoods. Meanwhile, millions of individuals throughout the world are unable to access adequate health care or any social benefits which are being made worse by inadequate social protection coverage. Moreover, the pandemic changed the way people communicate, connect, take care of others, educate their children, work, and more. These events just happened in a short time that has led employees to rethink their occupations and their career paths. From these above problems, we conducted this research to figure out the main reasons why so many workers have left their jobs over the past two years, as well as the great resignation.
