During the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has seen more reductions in emissions in a brief period of time compared to previous trials. By the cause of the same pandemic however, the automotive industry also had to face multiple challenges. Notably, the chip shortage caused significant delays in the manufacturing of new vehicles, which is especially apparent and problematic at the dawn of electric cars entering production. However, it is also important to examine the future of electric cars in terms of environmental problems. New generation cars and especially the chip shortage in the middle of the electric car transformation: - less new car production, - extended waiting periods for new cars (1-2-3 years), - everyone looked to the used market to buy, - used car price explosion under the pandemic. There were also several issues regarding car part supply chains.The topic contains economically relevant ideas; factors influencing marketing and sales, as well as analyses regarding the changes in the new and used car -, and accessory markets.Furthermore, the specified impact of the pandemic on the automotive industry has been evaluated, with respect to the specified bureau, and the sector of the automotive industry, that has been affected by the pandemic. Moreover, the impact of the Covid-19 on the sales and revenue, of the automotive industry, has also been investigated, and insights have been given to the impact of the pandemic on the changing inclinations, and preferences of the consumers, with the changing consumer buying behavior, and the deployment of safety measures, in the automobiles, after the pandemic.The pandemic has had a tremendous influence on the automobile sector, altering not only the industry's organizational structure and corporate methods, but also the numerous bureaus: supply chain management, manufacturing, R&D, human resource management, marketing, and others.Considering the impact of the pandemic on the automotive industry, it has negatively affected the automotive industry, and has led to reduced sales, and hence decreased revenue for the company.Moreover, considering the bureau of the automotive industry affected by the pandemic, the supply chain management and Research and Development (R&D) of the automotive industry is most affected by the pandemic. The pandemic largely affected the sales and revenue of the automotive industry, decreasing the demand for new automobiles, which resulted in a subsequent decrease in sales, and revenue.Considering the deployment of safety measures in the automobiles after the pandemic, the pandemic has significantly affected the research and development of the automotive industry, as several safety features are being introduced into new automobiles, to ensure the safety of both drivers and passengers.Furthermore, considering the impact of the pandemic on the consumer buying behavior, the pandemic has substantially affected consumer preferences, and the consumer decision process, of the consumers of the automotive industry.
