Absztrakt (kivonat)

This paper examines the state of rural tourism in Hungary, and the possible developments, in order to further improve the sector. It looks at the brief history and the legal components of rural tourism. At the time of this paper, we can conclude that changes are needed, although the future seems promising. Through primary and secondary research, the paper shows, that interest and care are evident towards the sector, it is the governmental funding and support that are lacking. The paper argues for the development and modernisation of rural tourism through its’ analysis.
