Abstract

In my thesis, I am investigating the cycling habits during the Balaton Cycling Circuit Route, including the cultural motivations, and with my research, I would like to achieve the promotion of networking and its centralization. My goal is to find out whether there is a need for comprehensive cycling improvements for the entire region, as well as analyzing how much demand cyclists have for widening the bike route due to cultural purposes (events, programs, attractions). Also, I’m seeking to combine two elements of fundamental importance: sports and culture. The popularity of the Balaton bike route and the well-known cultural events has revived in recent years, but this can be further strengthened.
