Absztrakt (kivonat)
New technologies have shown tremendous progress and change in different industries. This is particularly true for logistics and within it warehouses. Technological innovations can be present in these logistics buildings in different degrees and implementations. Present research investigates the efficiency, operation, and performance of the robotic automated high-bay warehouse solution of Hell Energy Hungary Ltd. The secondary research supports the description of the automation of warehousing and high-bay storage solutions within logistics, building on existing research. The data from Hell Energy's financial statements served as secondary quantitative research, and data from the years before and after the handover of the high-bay warehouse were used to analyse the company's performance. The first phase of the primary research was supported by a warehouse tour and internal software process documents. Four in-depth interviews with professionals who are operating and developing the high-bay warehouse system were conducted and analysed for the qualitative research. The conclusion of the research supports the hypothesis that states Hell Energy's solutions and system integration in their warehouse recommends automation. The company can meet the sales volume growth since the handover of the high-bay warehouse, thus maximizing customer service.
