Absztrakt (kivonat)

In my thesis I was searching whether there’s a relationship between the project manager’s soft skills and project success. This topic is actual because there’s a high percentage of project failures everywhere in the world and this takes lot of resources and efforts. Projects are crucial for companies to make profit and get an advantage over their competitors. Sometimes project managers are hired based on their knowledge and their soft skills aren’t taken into consideration, so sometimes such people who lack in soft skills or can’t use them well get into “the chair of project manager”. They don’t receive training in time, they can’t recognize their lack in soft skills, if they do recognize them they aren’t working towards developing the soft skills that they lack in. As an introduction I shared my thoughts about this topic, after it wrote about topics in relation with project management, and about soft skills.  I made researches in scholars, articles, journals, books to find an answer for my hypothesis (Do the soft skills of the project manager influence the project success?). I digged into 3 projects and analyzed the soft skills of the leaders of those projects, and made the conclusion that in those cases where the leader of the project was having a great skillset of soft skills, the team members were more motivated, so the project went on smoother, and in the case where the people felt unmotivated and that their worth aren’t taken into account the project failed. After it with the help of some interviews with project managers and a questionnaire, filled out by project team members, I came to the decision that the soft skills of a project manager  have effect on the success of the project and depending whether the project manager lacks in them or has them, the project can be unsuccessfull or successful (amongst this the hard skills have some effect on the outcome of the project).   As a closing page I’ve shared some of my ideas about how can less project failures happen in connection with the soft skills of the project manager.
