Tourism is the best way for people to relieve their high-pressure lives and relax their bodies and minds, and it is also a new carrier to carry people's pursuit of spiritual civilization. People's expectations and aspirations for a better life provide ample room for expansion and development prospects for the tourism industry. As a group with a higher level of education, young people born between 1980 and 1999 in China are at a critical period of maturity in terms of correct outlook on life, worldview, and values, and their demand for personalized tourism service products and tourism consumption methods is becoming increasingly strong. The flexibility and diversity of young people's consumption needs is an inevitable trend in the development of the youth tourism market. More and more tourism enterprises are now beginning to pay attention to the youth tourism market, starting to research the consumption behaviour and consumption psychology of this group. However, it is clear that most tourism companies do not have sufficient knowledge of the consumption behaviour of specific groups, and some even misunderstand the consumption psychology of young people, resulting in biased behavioural outcomes and direct economic losses.In order to better research and analyze the motivation of young Chinese people in tourism, this paper uses a questionnaire survey to grasp the motivation and mentality of young Chinese people in contemporary times. In-depth research on the composition and influencing factors of tourism consumption of young people in China at the current stage, targetedexploration and development of China's tourism consumption market, and efforts to provide a more prosperous and better-quality tourism product and service system. Based on modernized big data information, we will change the original consumption concept and consumption form, further improve the construction of the tourism consumption system, and promote the young people's tourism market operation to a high-quality level.
