Abstract  We've been in the midst of a worldwide catastrophe since the SARS-CoV-2 virus broke out. The tourism industry has been severely harmed as a result of the numerous restrictions and lockdowns. Various studies have been undertaken to investigate the current condition of tourism and tourists' perceptions; nevertheless, the situation of Hungarian older adults has yet to be investigated. Because of the growing number of elderly people in the world's population and their increasing spending power, the senior segments should be studied in order to better understand their current travel preferences. As a consequence, companies could use the research findings to reach this segment of the population with targeted marketing. This could contribute to the faster healing of the tourism industry and possibly Hungary and also to the satisfying of the older cohort. The information in this research was gathered using a mixed technique approach. An online survey was constructed, which received 103 responses, and in-depth interviews with two individuals were conducted. The study's findings revealed a significant although likely short-term shift in the bavarois of senior travelers. As a result, once the pandemic has passed, pre-pandemic travel habits will remain applicable with minor differences. However, further study with a larger population size is recommended to provide more precise and dependable findings. Moreover, because this study focuses mostly on Hungarian seniors, it is inapplicable to other countries.   Keywords: Tourism, COVID-19, Travel Behaviors, Hungary, Seniors, Traveling
