The Covid-19 pandemic has been posing many uncertainties regarding economic and societal development. Cyberspace has been exploited thoroughly due to the situation of the restraint physical contact over the globe. Digitalization is playing the most vital part in keeping the constant operation during the pandemic regardless of the private or public sector.  Furthermore, under the vast tendency of globalization, digitalization is possessing not only a lot of opportunities but also threats to any nation having the intention to utilize it. During this pandemic, diplomacy must not stop as its role in keeping the implementation of foreign policy in operation. Moreover, diplomacy must employ digitalization thoroughly to enhance the communication between state and state, state and citizen. from there, governments could maintain a national branding and reinforce the trust among publicity. This pandemic makes governments realize the importance of digital diplomacy in the course of building national branding, implementing the rightly public diplomacy, and possessing a better crisis management capacity. In the future, the digitalization of diplomacy will be enhanced in every nation and digital foreign policies will become more prevalent to the population. However, Vietnam is still lagging behind this tendency as its digital presence is very limited. Employment is in need for Vietnam in the future not only to catch up with other developed nations but also to move towards a digital society in the future. Vietnam is still limited as digital capability and cyber-security ability are yet to be in the top priorities. A concrete policy and sophisticated strategy for digital diplomacy will be handed out in this research. In the beginning, this research is set to study the advancement of digital diplomacy throughout the historical context and after the pandemic. the international experiences will be taken into consideration so as Vietnamese government will make use of the shortcut by applying existing and assessed technologies by other developed nations. From the study of governmental official documents of foreign policy, solid recommendations will be given for the sake of the national digital development regarding diplomacy in the future.
